“Create a community of like-minded artists'“ - my goal from the beginning.

When I officially first started my journey in the photography industry, I constantly felt loss in direction and isolated with a lack of community. Ever since then I knew I never wanted another photographer to feel as lost or alone as I did. This community is meant to educate, uplift and inspire all of those who need it. To expand creative boundaries and encourage growths in all aspects of owning a business.

“NIKKI. HOLY MOTHER. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Looking at your session for inspo & advice helped so much and made me 10x less stressed. Just finished and I think it’s one of my best sessions to date.”

“Nikki!! That was so helpful and insightful. Thank you so much. I appreciate that level of connection you talk about with your clients!”

MEET NIKKI

Hey there - my name is Nikki. I'm an Arizona girl with a travelers heart. Recently replanted back in the desert with my high-school-sweetheart turned husband, going on 12 years now) and my two dogs who I love with all of my heart. My photography obsession started in my early years. Stemming from being in my mom’s flower garden when I was 11, snapping photos with my hot pink point-and-shoot digital camera. Since then I've been "the girl with the camera", taking photos of my friends and any travel growing up.

In high school I took two semesters of film photography. Studying film and being in the dark room, learning what it takes to take a great photo completely from scratch. At the time I didn’t think becoming a photographer was possible without fully subscribing to the “starving artist” lifestyle and I loved it enough as a hobby that I didn’t feel the need to pursue it further.

I graduated the University of Arizona (Go Cats) back in 2018 with my Bachelor's in Communications and Minor in Electronic Sciences, focusing on social media and human communication. Even though I tried to make a normal 9-5 work for me, somehow the universe pushed me back towards photography and I ran with it. 7 years later I’m traveling around the world documenting love stories living my literal childhood dream.

Seaford, England, English port town in the summer, colorful beachside houses

In my spare time I love reading, hiking, lifting/running, hanging out at home with my family & drinking a nice glass of wine or margarita. I prefer mountains over the beach but I’ll happily be at either as long as I can be outside under the sun or listening to the rain.

I enjoy the simple things in life and really savor slow living. Traveling and being away as much as I have has taught me that moments I get to be at home are so precious and when I’m away I miss my family more than anything. I wouldn’t be able to do this without them.

I love camping and fully unplugging balanced with being immersed in society and being able to document life experiences. Taking advantage of the luxuries this life has to offer.

Now, who am I as a photographer?

As a photographer I’ve always been drawn to documenting moments. The big moments but also the moments that might go unnoticed by those who are busy looking elsewhere. The laughs, the joy, the tears, the precious hugs. I’ve always loved nature and architecture so incorporating scenery in to my artwork is something I’ve found myself drawing towards more and more. Finding the perfect framing and anticipating those moments to get those truly documentary style moments that feel effortless and elevated.

As an artist I have grown to value what it means to take in a scene and make it look the best it can possibly be. Working with light, creative mediums, shadows, colors, costumes, etc. Breaking traditional rules of photography and using photography as a form of creative expression. Which is why I adopted the term Documentary & Editorial Photographer. The best of both worlds.

I think every client deserves the luxury treatment and regardless of their budget. I love bringing other visions to life and documenting days authentically as possible but also working with what works best for my clients. Whatever level of creative direction they may need, I’m here for them.
